Lee is a freelance composer and workshop facilitator who, until he gets itchy feet again, resides in Brisbane. He grew up in Cairns and moved to Brisbane to complete a Bachelor of Composition at the Queensland Conservatorium of Music under the tutorledge of Stephen Leek. After graduating, Lee decided to test the musical waters in London where he lived until November last year when he decided it was time to bring back what he learnt over there to the (slightly warmer and sunnier) shores of Australia.

A bit of a musical chameleon, he has written for a huge range of mediums and styles including film, television, dance, choral, orchestral, electronic, theatre, rock and avant garde to name a few.
As well as composing, he is Creative Director of Creative Wire Workshops. Creative Wire is dedicated to bringing innovative and engaging music workshops to young people through the medium of composition. A lot of what Creative Wire does is based on his experiences in London and working on such projects as “The Love For Three Oranges” which saw over 56,000 school students either perform in or compose their own opera.
Lee is excited to be currently working closely with Mimi Van Buuren and a number of extraordinary dancers on the contemporary dance project: ‘Tether‘.
