A family halfway across forever
Your little eyes looking at me with total love
I wonder why I havent been able to see you before this moment?
Why havent I felt the warmth of your little hand
And the beaming sunshine in your eyes.
I have been blinded by pain and hardened by fire
And it was you who made my heart bloom again.

All the snakes and liars, the heavy hands and screaming hells
Are calmed when I feel your warm face on mine
I used to be too cold to love you
Killed by my enemies, deadened by heartbreak
Your small face in my hand
The sound of you sleeping next to me
A breath of life to an old dead woman

I fall in love with you everyday
Everyday you make me like a child again
The years begin to fall away
Tears shed and the pain dwindles
Sunshine burst in my heart
And I smile at your smile
And cry when you fall asleep next to me
I crave to hold you and know you are safe
The thougtht of you leaving……
